A ground-up, out-of-state mountain home designed from the earliest planning stages—collaborating with the architect to refine details and shaping every finish decision along the way. The goal was rustic modern: clean lines that still feel rooted in place, layered with warm woods, custom upholstery, and a curated mix of antiques shipped in to bring soul and character. Organic, touchable surfaces were key—stone and quartzite were artisan-treated and sandblasted for ridge-like texture that feels as if it was pulled straight from the surrounding landscape, creating a home that’s modern, durable, and unmistakably “of the mountains.”
